Alignment
As I step into 2026, I’m entering with a word that the Lord has settled in my heart: Alignment.
Alignment is not a trendy phrase to me; it’s a holy direction. It means I want my life to come into agreement with God’s heart, God’s voice, and God’s ways. I want to see Him more clearly, hear His voice more consistently, share His love more boldly, and most of all live in step with Him.
Because there is no safer place, no freer place, and no more fruitful place than being aligned with the Lord.
Alignment Begins With Surrender
Alignment doesn’t start with me trying harder; it starts with me yielding more.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6)
This is my prayer for 2026: that my ways would acknowledge Him. Not just in big decisions, but in everyday moments, my words, reactions, relationships, work, time, and priorities. I don’t want to be half-led and half-self-led. I want to be fully directed.
Alignment Means Abiding in His Presence
I don’t want to do life for God while living distant from God. I want nearness.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
Alignment is closeness. It’s communion. It’s choosing His presence over performance and His voice over noise.
“One thing I have desired of the Lord… that I may dwell in the house of the Lord… to behold the beauty of the Lord.” (Psalm 27:4)
In 2026, I want to behold Him, not just believe in Him. I want the Lord to become the central focus of my life again and again.
Alignment Trains My Ear to Hear His Voice
God still speaks. He still leads. He still guides His children.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
Alignment is not only hearing, it’s following. It’s letting His voice become the loudest voice. It’s choosing obedience even when feelings, opinions, or fear try to pull me off course.
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” (Isaiah 30:21)
That is what I’m asking for in 2026: clarity, discernment, and a quick “yes” to the Lord.
Alignment Requires Obedience
Alignment without obedience is only intention. But obedience is where alignment becomes real.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
I’m not chasing perfection, I’m pursuing faithfulness. I’m choosing to obey God in the small things and the hidden places, because obedience keeps me positioned for what He’s doing.
“To obey is better than sacrifice.” (1 Samuel 15:22)
Obedience is not loss (even when it costs something). Obedience is protection. Obedience is blessing. Obedience is alignment.
Alignment Produces Fruit That Remains
When my life is aligned with God, my life becomes fruitful, not by striving, but by abiding.
“Abide in Me… He who abides in Me… bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4–5)
This is one of the greatest signs of alignment: fruit that lasts. Love. Peace. Patience. Wisdom. Self-control. Courage. Compassion. A steady life that reflects Jesus.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…” (Galatians 5:22–23)
In 2026, I want my life to carry the evidence of the Holy Spirit, not just words about Him.
Alignment Helps Me Love People Like Jesus
I want to share His love more, not as a slogan, but as a lifestyle.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you.” (John 13:34)
Alignment means my heart stays tender. It means I refuse bitterness. I refuse offense. I refuse distraction. I choose love, because love is the nature of God.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God.” (1 John 4:7)
Alignment Keeps My Eyes Forward
I am looking forward to 2026, not with pressure, but with expectancy. God is already there.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing… I will even make a road in the wilderness.” (Isaiah 43:19)
I’m not entering this year clinging to the past. I’m entering aligned with Heaven, aligned with purpose, aligned with the presence of God.
“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2)
My Declaration for 2026
Lord, align my heart with Your heart.
Align my mind with Your truth.
Align my ears with Your voice.
Align my steps with Your Spirit.
Align my life with Your purposes.
Because the best is not found in control. The best is found in Christ.
And I am looking forward to 2026, walking in Alignment.
